FAQ
1. What is Omili?
Omili is an interactive platform for sports fans, allowing users to host and participate in live discussions in real-time. It’s simple and easy to use—anyone can start a show with just a few clicks. Users can join shows as listeners and, depending on the host’s settings, bid to speak to come on as guests. Going live is fast and accessible, making Omili the go-to space for sports discussions. Omili is an app based platform available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

2. How do Shows work for Hosts?
When a user starts a show on Omili, they begin by asking a question and providing two answers, each represented by either the blue side or the red side. Guests who join the show select one of the sides to represent in the debate.

-
Likes: As guests speak, they receive likes from listeners. These likes contribute both to the guest’s User Score and to the total vote count for the red or blue side.
-
Matchups: Whenever there’s a matchup between two guests, the guest with the most likes wins the debate, which also boosts their User Score.
-
Changing the Question: The host can change the question and the red/blue answers at any point during the show. When this happens, the scoring for the red and blue sides is reset, and a new debate begins between guests.
This format allows for interactive, real-time debates where users can earn recognition based on their performance and engagement.
As a host on Omili, you can choose to monetize your show by setting a minimum bid for users who wish to speak during the live session. This gives you control over who can join as a guest and how much they need to pay to participate. To start receiving payments, hosts need to set up a Stripe account through the main menu on the home screen, which will be linked to Omili for seamless transactions. Hosts can also invite co-hosts to shows.

3. How does Omili handle live show interactions?
Omili facilitates real-time interactions during live shows, where users can bid to speak for the chance to join the conversation. Additionally, Pay to Listen allows users to access premium shows which aren't recorded and are Hosted by verified users.

4. How do Bid to Speak and Pay to Listen work?
When users bid to speak on a show, the host receives requests and selects the guest they want to join the show. Guests will only get charged if they are selected to join the show. Pay to Listen is available to Verified Users only and allows Hosts to charge users to listen to Shows live.

5. How does the user scoring system work?
The user scoring system on Omili rewards active participation. Users can earn higher scores based on their engagement, including attending shows, bidding, and interacting with others. These scores are reset and updated every Friday at noon GMT, giving users a weekly opportunity to climb the rankings.
